Abstract:

In ETSI, the recommendations flowing from the Bangeman Report, were carefully scrutinized, considered and taken to heart. ETSI responded quickly by choosing a course of action with three different orientations. The first is the report of the High Level Task Force that looks at the internal changes needed to make ETSI fit for the future. The second is the Strategic Review Committee's Report on the European Information Infrastructure that lays a road map for the establishment of the standards related to the information superhighway.
